CASNET Helps Make Homeownership Dreams Become Reality in Summit County

For the next 7 months CASNET will be partnering with Habitat for Humanity of Summit County. Each month 4-5 employees will volunteer their time to help build houses throughout the Summit County area. CASNET employees are committed to supporting the efforts of Habitat in our community because they recognize the importance of building a strong, safe and vital community within the areas we live and work.

Record Year for CASNET Support of Harvest for Hunger

Our March 2009 campaign in support of the Harvest for Hunger efforts set a new record for our 45 employee organization.

We raised $1,804 up from $1,062 in 2008 a 70% increase
Food donations tripled to 1,255 pounds of donated food

During these times of economic and social stress we are more keenly aware than ever of the blessings we have as an organization and this program evidences our goal of doing well while doing good for our communities.

Every Halloween we have a costume contest with prizes for the top 3. Here is a group photo of all of this years contestants.

One of our core values is a strong commitment to community enrichment. We believe our community is an arena in which we work, live and play and are commited to making it a healthy environment in which to do so.

The summer of 2008 marked the kickoff of a several month commitment CASNET has made with Habitat for Humanity. Each month 4-5 CASNET employee volunteers donate their time to assist in the building of houses in the Summit County area of Ohio.

We would like to thank all of our employee volunteers for helping us make a difference in our community. Keep up the great work.

Food for the Hungry – Well Done CASNET

We recently concluded our March Harvest for Hunger food drive. We raised over $1100. in cash contributions along with several hundred pounds of food.

We also had fun in the process, we played bingo at lunch time, watched movies, conducted March Madness brackets and even played cornhole, all for this great cause.

We are blessed with great customers and are proud to help those in time of need. Thanks for your support!

We Mentor a Middle-Schooler

I had the opportunity to be my daughter’s mentor for a middle-school program. She has spent the day with us today and I thought I would share her observations here in an interview format:

Steve: What was your number one goal for visiting us today?

Liz: To find out more about what CASNET does and to learn more about a business.

Steve: What was the most impressive thing about your visit?

Liz: I liked learning about how sales works and all of the parts it takes to make a sales team work.

Steve: How will this visit change your view of school?

Liz: I will pay more attention in math, without learning more my future is limited.

Steve: Does your Dad have a great job or what?

Liz: Heck Yeah!

Data Entry Productivity Up 9%

Recently our document conversion service bureau invested in 10 new PC workstations. We chose HP Business Desktops with Dual Core Processors, 1 Gig of Ram and a 80 Gig Hard Drive along with Windows XP Professional.

The early productivity improvements are very encouraging:

Faster login times
Faster application startup
Faster image loads for review

All accumlating for 9% more image reviews and data entry keystrokes per hour.

Starkey and Alsop Obtain OnBase Certification

Terry Starkey and Byron Alsop have successfully attained the Hyland Software Certified OnBase® Installer credential. In Terry’s case, this was a renewal of his existing certification but nevertheless, as both of them will tell you, it was no easy task!

This accomplishment is an example of our continued commitment to not only the OnBase product but to our delivery of ECM solutions overall and it expands our ability to develop, deliver and support OnBase implementations.

Here is what Hyland has to say about certifications:

The Installation Certification course refines a student’s ability to install and troubleshoot an OnBase® solution. Special emphasis is placed on: system design, storage facilities, and select modules (including authoring and full-text indexing). Students are responsible for installing a new OnBase® system, including the appropriate setup and configuration of OnBase® modules covered in this and prerequisite courses.

New Talent Added to Our Team

Last November we added 3 new Key Players to our team, Byron Alsop as a Sales Engineer, Larry Jezior as an ECM Consultant and Matt Goltz as our Finance Director and Controller.
