James Watson presents a nice high level perspective of Disconnected Scanning. This is a trend to push the capture of documents away from a centralized capture center to the knowledge workers who work directly with the transaction.
Watson is a knowledgeable veteran of the ECM industry and is worth listenting to when you get a chance to do so.

Dan Elam shares his perspective of Sharepoint as well. Dan is always entertaining even when your in his crosshairs. We are still waiting for the complete death of microfilm which he predicted several years ago.
